New York, New York (November 30, 2010)….. New York based construction firm Corcon and Southern California based construction firm, J.A. Stowell Construction, Inc., have announced the completion of UGG®Australia’s Madison Avenue flagship store. The 4,613 square-foot store which is located at 600 Madison Avenue in New York City was completed on October 28, 2010. The store design reflects UGG®Australia’s brand philosophy of blending rich color, textures, natural materials, fashion and adventure. J.A. Stowell Construction, Inc. served as construction manager and owner representative for UGG®Australia, Corcon served as general contractor, while Anthony Donnelly of VisualWorks, U.K. designed the new location.
“As the construction manager and owner representative for the flagship store, we worked closely with the Corcon team to ensure the successful completion of the project within three months, all while implementing a new and updated fixture program,” said Jim Stowell, president of J.A. Stowell Construction, Inc. The Madison Avenue location is the fifth UGG®Australia concept store that J.A. Stowell Construction has managed in 2010. Other premier locations include Georgetown, Miami Beach, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles.
“As the general contractor, Corcon worked from construction documents prepared by MBH Architects of California, and Stowell to build out the extensive design details of the store,” said John Corso, president ofCorcon. “It was truly a collaborative effort from all parties involved to meet the needs of the client, on budget and on time.” Corcon has worked with Stowell on several UGG®projects including the UGG®Flagship store on Columbus Avenue in New York City, along with other locations throughout the Northeast.
